Turkey to boost tourism through India, Maldives and Nepal; opens visa application centers in 16 cities across India
Good news for tourist from India willing to visit Turkey is that they can now apply for a visa in any of the 16 centers of the country, recently inaugurated by the Republic of Turkey’s Indian Embassy. Application centres have been opened in 16 cities- Mumbai, New Delhi, Jalandhar, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Pune, Goa, Bengaluru, Puducherry, Gurgaon, Trivandrum, Kochi, Chennai, Hyderabad; all of them being operated by VFS Global, a renowned service provider for government and diplomatic missions across the globe. Going further, two centers are expected to be opened shortly in Nepal and Maldives too.
Highlighting the aims of the inauguration, Dr. Burak Akçapar (Republic of Turkey’s Ambassador of India, Maldives and Nepal), at the opening ceremony of the centers said that they had been receiving over 100 applications every day, which made them realize the need of an effortless visa issuance system. This advancement would give the applicants an enhanced and seamless service, and also would boost tourist arrivals to Turkey from all three countries. The government of Turkey shall be sticking to the commitments and will do its best to welcome citizens of these three nations, as Turkey is one of the most sought-after destinations for tourists across the globe- he added. Additionally, the country has their hopes up to build new connections between India and the Turkish Airlines.
