As of the news, the Education Department of Australia has taken the responsibility of giving suggestions to the Immigration and Border Protection Minister on the composition of the List of Skilled Occupations (SOL).  This suggestion is offered based on the submissions collected by the Education Department of Australia that help
in identifying the trades and professions that would be in demand in the coming five years in Australia and, also highlights the occupations whose demand is either reducing or demand is being convened locally. For the current SOL, submissions ran fromOctober 1, 2015 toNovember 13, 2015 and the SOL was updated then.

For the updating process of the year 2016-2017, overall 115 submissions have been made by country employees and industry representative, professional and trade organizations and other stake holders to review this year’s SOL.
