The renewed Skilled Occupation List to come into effect from July 2016- few occupations added, major of them removed from the list
Following the recent news revealed by the Australian Immigration authorities with respect to the changes to be made to the Skilled Occupation list, sources reveal, in case there are no further changes to the list, the renewed list is expected to come into effect from July 1, 2016.
After receiving 115 submissions from country employees, industry representatives, professional and trade organizations and other stakeholders to review the Skilled Occupation List 2016-2017, Department of Immigration and Border Protection has come up with a renewed SOL. As of the news, the renewed Skilled Occupation List will face an addition of two occupations while nine occupations will be removed from the list.
Occupations that will no more be a part of the Skilled Occupation List:
233611: Mining Engineer (excluding Petroleum)
233612: Petroleum Engineer
251311: Environmental Health Officer
251312: Occupational Health and Safety Adviser
411211: Dental Hygienist
411212: Dental Prosthetist
411213: Dental Technician
411214: Dental Therapist
Occupations that will be added to the Skilled Occupation list:
251912: Orthotist or Prosthetist
