**4 Key Updates: Alberta Holds Two Draws Inviting Candidates for Provincial Immigration**

In a targeted move to address labour market needs, Alberta holds two draws inviting candidates for provincial immigration in June 2025. The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) conducted draws under two streams—agriculture and construction—emphasizing the province’s demand-driven approach to immigration.

**Alberta’s June 2025 Draws at a Glance**

| **Date** | **Immigration Stream** | **CRS Cut-off** | **Invitations Issued** |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| June 20, 2025 | Alberta Opportunity Stream – Agriculture | 52 | 118 |
| June 25, 2025 | Alberta Express Entry Stream – Construction | 67 | 15 |

These two draws highlight Alberta’s push to attract and retain skilled foreign workers in priority sectors essential to the province's economy.

## **What Do These Draws Signify?**

### **1. Low CRS Requirements Open More Doors**

With CRS cut-offs of **52 and 67**, Alberta’s latest draws offer one of the most accessible PNP pathways in Canada. These are significantly lower than recent federal Express Entry cut-offs, making the AAIP an attractive route for skilled candidates.

### **2. Focus on In-Demand Occupations**

- The **Alberta Opportunity Stream (AOS)** draw targets individuals already working in Alberta’s **agriculture sector**, such as greenhouse workers, nursery and floriculture labourers, and harvesting labourers.
- The **Alberta Express Entry Stream** draw is aimed at **construction occupations**, inviting candidates from the federal Express Entry pool with Alberta-specific ties and work experience.

These targeted selections ensure immigration supports regional labour shortages directly.

## **Who Can Benefit from These Streams?**

**Alberta Opportunity Stream (AOS)**

Designed for temporary foreign workers already in Alberta, this stream requires:

- Full-time employment in an eligible occupation.
- A valid work permit supported by LMIA or LMIA-exempt status.
- Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) scores appropriate for the occupation.
- High school diploma equivalent to Canadian standards.

**Alberta Express Entry Stream – Construction Focus**

This draw applies to candidates who:

- Are already in the federal Express Entry pool.
- Have work experience in construction-related occupations.
- Have stated Alberta as a preferred destination in their profile.
- Meet minimum CRS and adaptability factors (such as prior work or education in Alberta).
