Latest British Columbia PNP Tech Pilot Gives 76 Invitations

This year’s first Tech Pilot Draw of British Columbia Province was held this month on 3rd November. 

A total of 76  invitations went out to Express Entry British Columbia and Skilled Immigration Candidates. 

The good news for the applicants is that this year the minimum points requirement decreased by 10 points.

Also, the program has been extended to June 2021 to retain global talent due to the unavailability of local skilled workers.

In the previous year’s draw, the minimum score required was 90.

If candidates are looking to apply for other programs, they can choose:

  • Entrepreneur Immigration – Base Category

(or)

  • Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot

However, the minimum score required for the above programs is slightly higher.

For the Entrepreneur Immigration – Base Category, the minimum score required is 122

And for the Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot, the minimum score required is 109.

The Number of Nominations Available

There are 6,550 nominations available for British Columbia as per 2019’s allocation.

  • The invitations are sent based on the annual nominations from the IRCC.
  • Your occupation has to be listed under the main technology jobs to be eligible for the Tech Pilot Program.
