Candidates with a ranking score - per the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) - as minimum as 354 received Invitations to Apply (ITA). The draw prioritized the Agriculture and Agri-food Occupations Category, targeting roles such as:

  • agricultural service contractors,
  • farm supervisors, and
  • retail and wholesale butchers.

Why Focus on Agriculture?

Canada recognizes the need for skilled workers in the Agriculture and Agri-food sector. By inviting candidates with experience in this role, the country aims to meet the growing demand for proficient workers in this industry, which exported nearly $92.8 billion in agricultural produce globally in 2022. Similar Express Entry draws will continue throughout the year, running alongside general and program-specific invitation rounds.

The latest round of invitations is the third Express Entry draw to be held in three consecutive days. Yesterday, on September 27, 500 candidates with a minimum CRS of 472 were invited from the French-speaking proficiency category in EE Draw #266. On September 26, 3,000 candidates were invited in an all-program draw with a minimum CRS of 504.
