Express Entry: 4,500 STEM Professionals Invited to Apply for Canada PR Visa

Invitations were exclusively targeted at those with experience in STEM occupations.

On April 11, 2024, the Canadian Government held Express Entry Draw # 293. The date and time of the latest Express Entry draw was April 11, 2024 at 13:23:42 UTC. The minimum score required was that of CRS 491. A total of 4,500 ITAs were issued.

The latest EE draw is the first STEM-only Express Entry draw to be held in 2024 so far. This is the 15th Express Entry draw this year. With the latest round of invitations, Express Entry draws in 2024 have been as follows -

  • 8 General draws
  • 3 for French-language proficiency
  • 1 for Healthcare occupations
  • 1 for Agriculture and agri-food occupations
  • 1 for Transport occupations
  • 1 for STEM occupations

Express Entry is the online system used to accept, prioritize, and process Canadian permanent residence applications from skilled foreign workers. Express Entry draws are held by IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada).

Those who received an invitation to apply in the latest round of invitations were -

  • Eligible for any Express Entry program - FSWP, CEC, or FSTP
  • With a ranking score of at least CRS 491
  • Their main occupation listed as any of the targeted STEM occupations
