Status tracker now available for Express Entry and Provincial Nominee Program.
Recently, Canada introduced an application tracker for checking the status of applications submitted under the Express Entry system and the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
The status tracker will allow you to monitor your Canada PR application after submission. You can stay informed of any updates. You will get to know whether any action might be needed on your part to keep your file moving.
The tracker comes in line with the ongoing efforts being made for increased digitization by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). In September 2022, IRCC had announced a transition to completely digital applications for most Canada PR pathways.
As of now, IRCC’s application tracker can only be used for checking status of Canadian immigration applications submitted by -

IRCC had launched the Online Application Status Tracker in May 2021 for applications submitted for Canadian citizenship. From February 2022, the online tracker could also be used for immigration applications, starting with spouse, partner, and dependent child sponsorship categories.
Now, the online application status tracker is also available for Express Entry applicants and their representatives. Status can be checked online for applications submitted under the Express Entry system (FSWP, FSTP, CEC) and Canadian PNP.

Following successful registration, a code will be sent to the registered email address.
You can create an IRCC tracker account only after you receive an acknowledgement of receipt letter by email.
As of now, the application tracking facility is only available for Express Entry and Provincial Nominee Program. According to IRCC, “We are currently working on expanding the tracker to additional types of applications”.
