Saskatchewan Holds the First SINP Draw of 2024

Canada’s Saskatchewan holds the first round of invitations under the provincial program.

On March 7, 2024, Saskatchewan issued 35 invitations under expression of interest (EOI) selections. Of these, 14 were for candidates eligible for the Occupations In-Demand pathway. The remaining 21 went out to those with profiles in the federal Express Entry system of Canada. The minimum score requirement for all candidates was EOI 89.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) functions under Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program. A PNP nomination is worth CRS 600 points for an Express Entry candidate. Therefore, a nomination by a province or territory is a guarantee of receiving an invitation to apply.

Only those specifically invited by the Canadian Government can submit their complete applications for a Canada PR visa.

Who got an invitation in the latest Saskatchewan draw?

To be invited in the latest draw, a candidate must have had -

  • Expressed an interest in being considered by Saskatchewan for a nomination,
  • Secured a score of at least EOI 89 on the SINP EOI System,
  • An Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) Report or were educated in Canada, and
  • Their occupation listed among the selected 26 occupations.

Selected candidates that had a profile in the Express Entry system were invited through Saskatchewan Express Entry. The others were issued invitations under SINP’s Occupations in Demand pathway which runs independently of Express Entry of Canada.

Which occupations were targeted in the latest SINP draw?

26 occupations were targeted in the March 7 OINP draw. The occupations were selected based on their unique 5-digit occupation code per the National Occupational Classification (NOC).
