Canada Express Entry is used to manage, prioritize, and process permanent residence applications from skilled workers eligible for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), or the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Some Immigration pathways under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) are also linked with IRCC Express Entry.
As per a prediction, the next Express Entry draw might be held on June 23, 2022. Alternatively, Canada might hold off until the time that all-program Express Entry draws are resumed in early-July 2022.
Generally, and under usual circumstances, the federal Government of Canada holds an Express Entry draw approximately once in 15 days, that is, on a fortnightly basis. While the gap between two draws might change - being closer together or far apart - a minimum of two Express Entry draws are nonetheless usually held in a month.
Express Entry, an online application management system launched by Canada in 2015, comes under the department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). A 67-point eligibility requirement is to be fulfilled for submitting an Express Entry profile. There is no upper age limit for applying for Canadian permanent residence under the Express Entry system.
Express Entry profiles are placed into a pool of Canada immigration hopefuls. Now, another score is allotted based on a 1,200- points matrix of the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) - hence referred to as the CRS score of an Express Entry candidate - comes into play. The highest-ranked, as per their CRS scores, are then invited to submit their complete application for Canada PR visa by Express Entry.
A nomination under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) of Canada is worth CRS 600 in itself, thereby guaranteeing an invitation to apply by IRCC in a subsequent Express Entry draw.

Typically, an Express Entry draw is held on a Wednesday, every two weeks.
Getting a competitive CRS score is recommended. Secure a PNP nomination to gain an edge over others. As on June 6, 2022, there were a total of 215,316 profiles in the IRCC Express Entry pool of candidates. Of these, only 922 were in the CRS 600-1,200 range. A PNP nomination increases your score by CRS 600 ‘additional’ points.

Begin by appearing for an English language proficiency test - IELTS or CELPIP - along with securing an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report for Immigration from WES, ICES, etc. Information from these will be required to be entered for creating your Express Entry profile online.
Always ensure that you provide clear, correct, and complete information in your Express Entry profile. Do keep in mind that though you can create your Express Entry profile by scoring 67-points on the Canada Skilled Immigration Points Calculator, you cannot submit your Canadian permanent residence application unless you get an ITA by IRCC. The ITAs are issued by IRCC in Express Entry draws held from time to time. The latest Express Entry Draw #224 had 932 ITAs issued.
To be considered by IRCC as someone with great potential of successfully settling in and thriving in Canada as a permanent resident, you must be better than most. Aim at getting the highest CRS score that you can get, optimizing the chances of your being invited to submit your application.
Not all Express Entry candidates receive an invitation to apply.
