As promised, Canada seems to be all set to welcome 401,000 new immigrants this year. The provinces are gearing up to revive the economy despite the pandemic.

Latest Provincial Draws

In the latest draws conducted by British Columbia and Ontario in January 2021, the BC PNP Tech Pilot draw issued ITAs while Ontario PNP invited Express Entry candidates.

The BC PNP draw addressed 80 invitations to skilled workers and international graduates. It is the second draw of the year for British Columbia.

The OINP issued invitations to 484 candidates of the Skilled Trades, and French-Speaking Skilled Workers streams from the Express Entry pool.

The latest BC PNP draw was held on the 12th of January 2021. Candidates in this Tech Pilot draw were selected from the technology sector under the Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC streams.

The candidates for selection required a minimum provincial score of 80 points.

Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program

The OINP draw was held on the 13th of January 2021. It is the first draw of the province in 2021 and invited candidates through two provincial immigration streams. Both these OINP streams were aligned with the Express Entry system
