Canada’s Quebec immigration application processing fee changes for the new year 2021.

MIFI service fee charges are increasing by 1.26% from the previous year. The said immigration processing fee changes are made effective from 1 January 2021.

Processing Fee Hike

A hike in processing fees takes place each year. It is based on the annual changes in the average of an all-items consumer price index.

The fee mentioned above is related to the processing fee of applications to immigrate to Quebec, Canada. You are also responsible for expenses related to your living costs, language tests, supporting documentation, translations and others while filing your application.

More Changes Anticipated

Some more changes related to submitting application documents for the International Student Program (ISP) Programme de l’expérience québécoise or PEQ are likely to be announced soon.

It will become mandatory for all applicants to submit electronically from 26 January 2021. The Ministry of Immigration of Quebec, Canada will not accept paper applications after the deadline.

  • Pilot Program for Workers in Artificial Intelligence
  • Pilot Program for Information Technologies
  • Pilot Program for Visual Effects
  • Pilot Program for Workers in Food Processing

Admission Targets for 2021

Quebec has set a target to invite 27,500 to 29,300 immigrants in economic immigration programs this year. It includes 24,200, skilled workers.

A maximum of 4,300 immigrants are expected through business immigration programs. It includes the Self-Employed Program and the Quebec Entrepreneur Program.

Admissions Set for Other Categories

A maximum of 800 admissions is reserved for other economic categories. It includes live-in caregivers and others.

Additionally, another 10,200 Canada PR are expected to arrive as family sponsorship, refugees and other types of immigration programs.
