Out of the 335 candidates invited, 49 candidates had also registered their profiles in the federal Express Entry System.

Manitoba Immigration

Manitoba has many immigration programs to attract talent from overseas. The province manages its immigration programs through the Manitoba PNP.

While Canada has not enabled its provinces to grant permanent residence status, they can help a candidate by nominating them.

Applicants who wish to benefit from a provincial nomination must register an Expression of Interest (EOI) with MPNP.

After that, they can receive an LAA through the Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba streams.

To apply through the International Education stream, the candidates had to have completed their education in Manitoba and demonstrate that they have skills currently in-demand.

Express Entry

The Express Entry System is Canada’s primary way to manage applications of skilled professionals. Applicants can skip applying through PNP and directly apply through Express Entry.

However, candidates who receive a nomination gain 600 additional points in their CRS score, thus assuring them to obtain permanent residence in a later draw.
