The latest Arrima draw in Quebec invited 233 skilled worker candidates.

Quebec issued invitations under the Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP) on 16 December 2020. As per details released today, ITAs were given to candidates having an Expression of Interest (EOI) in Quebec’s online registration system.

Quebec’s online registration portal is known as Arrima.

The primary step to immigrating to Quebec as a skilled worker is to complete the Expression of Interest in Arrima. 

Categories Invited in the Latest Draw

Two categories were invited to the latest Arrima draw. 

  • Candidates having a validated offer of employment
  • Candidates staying in Quebec as diplomats, consular officers,

representatives of UN or intergovernmental organizations

Bank of profiles in Arrima are regularly reviewed and ITAs are issued by The Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI). 

Eligible candidates are required to meet specific criteria based on the local market needs in the province.

Valid Job Offer Candidates:

  • Persons mentioned in Section 26 of the Québec Immigration Regulation (CQLR, chapter I-0.2.1, r. 3)
  • Persons mentioned in Section 47 of the Québec Immigration Act (CQRL, chapter I-0.2.1)

This Arrima draw also included staff members or other officials of select occupations covered under Section 26 of the Quebec Immigration Regulations.

Increase in Planned Immigration Levels

Quebec has announced that it plans to increase the number of immigration candidates in the coming years. It aims to welcome over 47,500 new members in 2021.

Arrima frequently carries out invitation exercises. It is essential to regularly update your expression of interest since you could be invited for personal selection anytime.
