Saskatchewan Invites 269 Candidates in PNP Draw

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) recently held a new draw issuing Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to 269 immigration candidates for provincial nomination.

Eligibility for Selection

The ITAs were issued to candidates who were from the SINP’s International Skilled Worker stream. Under that, the candidates were selected from the Express Entry subcategory and Occupations In-Demand subcategory.

Regardless of which stream they were selected from, the candidates needed to have a minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) score of 70 points to be eligible.

Moreover, they had to have previous work experience in any of the 61 occupations in-demand listed on Saskatchewan’s official website.

Occupations In-Demand Subcategory

The Occupations In-Demand subcategory is a base form of the Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) that is open for immigration candidates who do not have an Express Entry profile.

It is for highly skilled professionals who have work experience in an occupation that is currently in demand in Saskatchewan’s labour market.

Express Entry Subcategory

The Express Entry subcategory is an enhanced PNP form linked to the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC’s)  Express Entry System.

Express Entry candidates must create their Expression of Interest profiles for SINP to be considered for an ITA.
