Key Highlights
The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) recently invited a total of 418 PNP candidates to apply for a provincial nomination.
The SINP has so far invited 2,393 candidates in 2021, conducting two draws per month.
The SINP issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to eligible candidates under the International Skilled Worker category.
Out of the 418 candidates invited, 183 of them were eligible for the Express Entry Subcategory, and 235 were nominated through the Occupations In-Demand subcategory.
Regardless of the stream, the candidates needed to file an Expression of Interest (EOI) and have an EOI score of at least 70 points.
Besides, they needed to have Educational Credential Assessments (ECAs) to prove that their education overseas was comparable to Canada's standard.
Also, they had to have work experience in any of the 78 occupations currently in demand in the province. The list of occupations is posted on the province's official website.

The Occupations In-Demand subcategory is a basic type of Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) open to candidates without an Express Entry profile.
It is for those highly-skilled professionals who have work experience in an occupation that is currently in-demand in the province and do not have an employment offer.
The Express Entry subcategory is an enhanced form of PNP linked to the federal Express Entry System.
Express Entry candidates, who get a provincial nomination through the Express Entry subcategory, get an additional 600 points to their CRS score.
