Canada's 3rd Round of Invitations is Ready for the Healthcare Professionals

Published on : July 7, 2023

Canada announced its 3rd Express Entry draw this week. It's the 3rd consecutive invitation round of category-based selection this month so far. The Immigration Department invited 1,500 candidates from the healthcare sector, with the lowest CRS score of 463. Surprisingly, this is the lowest CRS score in the Express Entry Draw 2023. More surprising draws have been waiting for the right candidate, they added.

The round of invitations was based on STEM candidates who passed all the other eligibility measures. In June, 500 healthcare professionals received the invitations with a CRS score of 476. However, yesterday's draw was the lowest ever this year.

In the category-based selection, Canada prioritizes the healthcare domain to curb the shortage of laborers and streamline the service in the country. Furthermore, Canada requires 23% registered nurses, 36% registered physicians, and 54% dental technologists. As per Statistics, the job vacancy data portal, there are 153,000 vacant positions in healthcare and social assistance in April 2023, one of the highest numbers of vacancies beating behind all the other employment sectors.

Earlier, IRCC also invited 700 candidates in the All-Program draw along with the minimum CRS score of 511 in a surprise draw on 4th July. Candidates included in the Federal Skilled Worker program, the Canadian Experience Class, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program benefit from the Express Entry draw.

Thus, Canada is ready to control the labor market by allowing talented international workers to serve, add value and help build a strong economy together.

If you are from the healthcare sector and have sound knowledge and experience in your respective domain, your dream to land in Canada will be fulfilled soon. And if you have already received the invitation, be prepared to start your visa application process to avoid the last-day rush.
