Invited Candidates

The candidates who received LAAs received a nomination from MPNP that would support their application for permanent residence (PR) in the country.

Manitoba Immigration

The government of Manitoba manages the immigration streams through the MPNP, which nominates new immigration candidates to the federal government. While the provinces cannot give PR status, they can nominate candidates for the same.

To benefit from a nomination by the province, you have to file an Expression of Interest (EOI) with them. The province then allots them a score of up to 1,000 points.

There are three nomination streams under MPNP:

The Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream invites only those candidates who are already living or working in the province, and their skills meet the requirements of its labour market.

The Skilled Workers Overseas stream invites candidates from outside the country who have the skills required for its labour market.

Candidates under both of these streams must have a full-time employment offer from an employer in Manitoba.

The International Graduate stream invites recently-passed students who have pursued their bachelor, master or doctoral degrees in a Manitoban university.
