The Manitoban province recently invited 207 immigration candidates to apply for a nomination in its latest draw. This is the province’s fourth draw in 2021. The candidates invited were from the following three streams:

  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba
  • Skilled Workers Overseas
  • International Education Stream

Minimum Requirements:

The minimum requirements set for Express of Interest (EOI) ranking points and Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were:

  • 28 LAAs for International Education Stream.
  • 158 LAAs and 457 minimum score for Skilled Workers in Manitoba.
  • 21 LAAs and 698 minimum score for Skilled Workers Overseas.

Only 5 LLAs went to Express Entry candidates in this draw.

Express Entry

Express Entry is a points-based regulatory system that helps Canada to manage applications for skilled workers.

Applicants can either apply for a Canadian PR directly through Express Entry or enter the Express Entry pool and receive a provincial nomination.

To be eligible for Express Entry, you have to meet basic requirements as per one of the three Express Entry programs. You are then ranked based on a CRS score.

The candidates with the highest score receive an invitation to apply (ITA).

You can gain an additional 600 points if you receive a nomination from a province like Manitoba.

About Manitoba PNP

To receive a Manitoba nomination, you must register an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.

PNP candidates must demonstrate a connection to the province by the likes of family ties, prior experience in Manitoba or getting invited through the province’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives (SRI).

To receive an invitation under the Skilled Worker Program, you must have a full-time employment offer from an employer in the province.

Foreign graduates who have studied in Manitoba will be awarded an invitation if they exhibit that they have in-demand skills.
