In this draw, candidates selected came through the Saskatchewan Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand subcategories for a provincial nomination for permanent residence.

This draw was held on 11 February 2021.

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)

SINP nominates immigration candidates with required skills in the province’s labour market. Selected candidates should have Educational Credential Assessments and need an Expression of Interest (EOI) score.

EOI score is based on age, education, work experience, English and/or French proficiency, and connection to Saskatchewan province.

Invited candidates had work experience in any one of the 89 eligible occupations. These occupations included data scientists, electrical and electronic engineers and technicians, corporate sales managers, advertising and marketing managers, and others.

Occupations In-Demand

This subcategory is a base Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Immigration candidates can directly apply here without having a federal Express Entry profile.

It is meant for highly skilled workers having experience in the provincial occupations in-demand. They need not have a job offer as well.

However, foreign nationals must create an EOI profile through the SINP’s online application portal to apply. The system allows the province to select candidates having the potential to thrive in the province.

EOI score is given out of 100 based on the SINP’s International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid.

SINP’s Express Entry Subcategory

It is an enhanced PNP linked to the federal Express Entry system. Express Entry pool manages candidates from the following three immigration programs.

  • Federal Skilled Worker Program
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program
  • Canadian Experience Class

Express Entry candidates are also required to create EOI profiles for Saskatchewan to be considered for provincial nomination.

Express Entry candidates selected through SINP are awarded additional 600 CRS points to their score at the federal level. It virtually guarantees them to receive an ITA through Express Entry for Canadian permanent residence.
