The PNP of Ontario issues invitations to 703 Express Entry candidates

The candidates who are invited have the potential to get the PR in the stream of Ontario's Express Entry Human Capital Priorities.

The Ontario province issued invitations to 703 Express entry candidates who have work experience in the required occupations on 26th August.

The candidates who are invited needed to have CRS scores between 466 and 475 in this round. If they get the nomination, they will be given an additional 600 points in the CRS score. This will guarantee them an ITA (Invitation to Apply) in the subsequent draw. This applies to any candidate who becomes successful in attaining a provincial nomination.

OINP (Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program) issued invitations to apply for a nomination if they had prior work experience in the below-mentioned occupations:

·     Financial managers NOC 0111

·     Corporate sales managers NOC 0601

·     Advertising Marketing and Public Relations managers NOC 0124

·     Financial auditors and accountants NOC 1111

·     Other financial officers NOC 1114

·     Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses NOC 3012

·     Professional occupations in business management consulting NOC 1122

·     Allied Primary Health practitioners NOC 3124

·     Dietitians and nutritionists NOC 3132

The candidates should apply under the human capital priorities stream of the Ontario province if they want to get a nomination. They are also required to have at least one year of experience in their occupation. Work experience that they have should be within the last five years from the date on which they have applied. The experience can be gained in Canada or their home country or any other country, but they should have worked continuously, which means there should be no break in employment. You can also apply if you have had back to back jobs in the same field.

The experience of the candidate must be in the same occupation that they have mentioned in the express entry profile.

The express entry system is one of the online application systems which manages the three main streams of immigration of Canada:

1. Federal skilled workers program

2. Federal skilled trades program

3. Canadian experience class

It sometimes also manages PNPs that are aligned to the express entry. The candidates whose profiles are submitted in the express entry system will be awarded a score which is called the CRS score, and it ranks them based on the elements of their profile, like work experience, age, education, and language proficiency in either English or French.

The candidates who get maximum CRS points will get an invitation to apply for a Canadian permanent residence.

The OINP will choose candidates from the Express Entry pool who matches the criteria of its market needs.

The Federal government allowed 7600 applicants to immigrate through Ontario nomination program.

This number includes 250 candidates from the temporary workers in intermediate skilled occupations or NOC skill level C.

Half of the Ontario's 7391 candidates were chosen from the express entry in 2019.
