Skilled Permanent Residency Australia (PR) Pathway
Australia's PR visa empowers and enables individuals to settle in Australia. The holders of PR appreciate the rights and benefits related to PR status.
The mainstream skilled Permanent residency visas fall under the point-based system. The General talented movement (GSM). The GSM is for individuals who are not supported by an employer. They can have the capability in a high demanding occupation in Australia.
Two most sought-after Skilled PR visas under this classification are,
- Subclass 189 Visa
- Subclass 190 visa.
To apply for GSM visas, a candidate must score at least 65 points in the Skill Select System. Points are based on educational capability, work experience, English capability, age, and similar.
Interested candidates must have involvement with an occupation. As per the Skilled Occupation List of Australia.
Regional Migration Pathway
The GSM is a new Regional brief visa. The Regional Visa Subclass 491 is distributed by the government for five years. This visa is described in detail in the "Regional Pathway" section given below.
The government has recently closed the current Subclass 489 visa. This has supplanted the new regional visa. The Department of Home Affairs has presented two new provincial visas on November 16, 2019. The Subclass 491 Visa and Subclass 494 visa, which will replace the two existing visas.

Family Sponsorship Pathway
Family or relatives of an Australian resident or permanent resident can apply for a PR visa. It can come under the family sponsorship program (if eligible).
