IRCCs Selection Spree: 3,725 Candidates Invited in Recent Express Entry Draw

In the latest Express Entry Draw, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has extended invitations to apply (ITAs) in an all-program draw.

A total of 3,725 candidates have received invitations.  

Minimum CRS Score of 500 Required

To qualify, candidates needed to meet the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 500.

Continuing Trend from September

This draw continues the trend from the week of September 25, which saw three consecutive draws.

September 26 Draw: 3,000 Candidates Invited

On September 26, the draw invited 3,000 candidates with a minimum CRS score of 504 in an all-program draw.

September 27 Draw: 500 Candidates Invited for French-speaking Proficiency

On September 27, 500 candidates were invited in a category-based draw for French-speaking proficiency, requiring a minimum CRS score of 472.

September 28 Draw: 600 Candidates in Agriculture and Agri-food Occupations

The final draw of the week on September 28 invited 600 candidates with a minimum CRS score of 354. This was the first-ever category-based draw for candidates in agriculture and agri-food occupations.

IRCC Releases 2022 Express Entry Report

On September 26, IRCC released its annual report on Express Entry for 2022.

Top Recipients of ITAs

In 2022, the majority of Express Entry ITAs went to candidates in the Provincial Nominee Program (19,258) and the Canadian Experience Class (18,895). The remaining 8,386 ITAs were issued to candidates under the Federal Skilled Worker Program. Notably, IRCC did not invite any Express Entry candidates through the Federal Skilled Trades program in 2022.

Popular Occupations for ITAs

Software engineers, designers, information systems specialists, computer systems developers and programmers were among the most common occupations to receive an ITA. Additionally, food service supervisors and cooks were also common recipients of ITAs.

Global Distribution of ITAs

More than 30,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued to individuals residing in Canada, while the remaining ITAs were granted to applicants from India, with 3,787 applications, and Nigeria, with 1,730 applications.
